CARE tips
Carpet Care
Continued walking on soiled carpet forces the soil particles to work their
way below the surface of the pile where they are far more difficult to remove,
causing damage to the fibres. Frequent vacuuming removes these particles from
the surface before this happens.
We recommend you deep clean your carpet at least once a year, occasionally
less extensive cleaning is advised between heavier ones.
Upholstery Care
Routine vacuuming will prolong the life of the upholstery fabric as well as
extending the time between professional cleans.
If possible, keep furniture out of direct rays of sunlight. The ultraviolet
rays of direct sun light will fade your fabric. Never brush fabric with a stiff
fibre or steel brush, doing so will have a tendency to distort the fabric.
Regular upholstery cleaning can help preserve the fabric and prolong the life
of your furniture!
Stains and Spillages
Never rub or agitate the affected area, doing so will only push the stain or
spillage deeper into the carpet and underlay resulting in further damage. Always
resist the temptation to use household cleaning products, doing so leaves an
oily or soapy residue that attracts dirt. The wrong approach can complicate
professional attempts at treatment, or in some cases even set the stain.
The longer a stain is allowed to dry and harden, the more difficult it is to
remove. Whether liquid- or oil-based, stains saturate the fibres. To avoid the
spillage drying out we recommend a damp towel be placed over the affected area
before having it professionally extracted by a qualified technician.
